In praise of machines!

This immersive concert features set design by Marie-lü Charron-Poggioli and music for augmented and computer-controlled pipe organ, percussion and electronics, with Adrian Foster, Joel Peters, Parker Bert, Marion Wörle, Maciej Sledziecki and George Rahi.

Presented in collaboration with the Canadian International Organ Competition and made possible with the support of the Conseil des arts de Montréal, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Berlin Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt and the Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen.

GAMUT INC

The retro-futuristic ensemble gamut inc makes musical theatre and plays computer-controlled music machines that they develop themselves. The core of the ensemble is made up of computer-musician, composer and graphic designer Marion Wörle and composer and guitarist Maciej Śledziecki, who collaborate on a project by project basis with various other musicians and artists.

GEORGE RAHI

George Rahi (b 1987, Philadelphia) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Vancouver, unceded Coast Salish territories. His work spans installation, instrument making, composition, solo + ensemble performance, and works for radio, theatre + public spaces.
